Yay! Aunt Maggie came to Texas!

We showed her the elephants.
We shopped and sewed, shopped and sewed some more, stayed up late watching movies, and ate good food. We had so much fun, we just didn't have time to take lots of good pics.

The boys loved every moment. (But not as much as I did.)

It's interesting...the older I've gotten, the more cautious I am to use the phrase, "I'll never...."

Things I've said:

"I'll never gain weight my first year in college." I did.

"I'll never marry someone without dating them for at least a year." I did. (Hey, we dated 6 months before the wedding. That's half a year.)

"I'll never spend blank blank dollars on MY wedding dress." I did.

"I'll never weigh blank blank blank pounds." I do.

"I'll never let MY kids eat candy for lunch." I have.

"I'll never wear clothes that are 'blank' years old. That's so weird." I did. Today. I wore this dress.

It was new - 5 years ago in October. At least I have a different cardigan...and it's not because the old one doesn't fit.... :)

What happened to the last month?

The last 4 weeks have been crazy and busy... or crazy busy.

weekly home depot trips. there is always a project on the horizon.

big boy E went to school?!

i had another birthday. my boys take good care of me.

mother nature was teasing us with cooler temps. may they last....please.

i think the summer might be finally coming to an end, which means we can now go outside and play! we did lots of swimming this summer, but i took zero pictures of it. i was not made for 100 + degree weather...therefore i am welcoming the cool mornings and praying for some freezing temps to come (ha! in my dreams). i even bought coats for the boys - wishful thinking, right? we got to have a visit from nanna and aunt maggie will be coming to visit soon. and, it's my favorite time of year....LDS General Conference is in just 10 days! welcome fall!
