I've not been bored
Found a frame at a yard sale, painted it, and added flowers. Cheap decor above our bed.
I think the polka dot garlands are my new favorite party decor.

Just wanted to make sure nobody thought I was twiddling my thumbs...and I read the Hunger Games series. So much better than Twilight. Though I am kind of disappointed about who she ends up with. I guess it's best for everyone, but I preferred the other. :(
I'm blogging...Gasp!
I still exist. Thing is - in the last 37 days, I've slept in my own bed 17 times. And we're not done traveling yet! Here's the breakdown.

November - Kansas for Thanksgiving
December - Lindsey and Greg's wedding in Utah
A visit to Idaho
Kansas for Christmas
January - Kansas for the wedding reception.

Time Out For Women!

The 2010 Time Out for Women schedule is up. I went to TOFW for the first time this past May and I really enjoyed it. It is a great weekend filled with Christ-centered and spiritually uplifting speakers and music. Not to mention the hilarious, real-life stories. Women of ALL faiths are invited. Check it out!***By the way, to my Idaho Falls peeps - TOFW is in your town March 16th! Call you mom and sisters. It's a good reason to hang out for the weekend.

Hi, I'm Eli's mom
Today, I stepped outside my comfort zone and took Eli to a school friend's party. I didn't know any of the moms there. Some I'd said hello to once or twice. Another I recognized from the park two months ago. (When did I become shy? or just a hermit, maybe.) So, I stepped out on a limb and made some conversation with other moms. We talked about kids, mini vans, naps, fits, etc. And it was so much fun! And....someone even asked for my number! She typed in "Eli's mom." It made me smile - I'm proud to be Eli's mom.
Speaking of moms, I sometimes read this blog. Amazing lady with amazing things to say. Here is one paragraph I read tonight:
And wow, I'm seeing more and more that EVERY mom has her hard hard stuff to deal with. Some people's lives look all lovely and nice and we get that “grass is greener” thing going on – but dig a little deepers and it seems you'll always find there's plenty of hard stuff going on – kids with disabilities, divorce, depression, cancer, you name it. I find new heroes at each Retreat.Moms are such amazingly resilient and compassionate people. And they're always so darn helpful. At every Retreat, they're always pitching in to help prep and clean up food – even when we tell them this is their time to relax.
I like moms. A lot. And I'm so proud to be one of them.

"Dwane the bathtub, I'm dwounding!"

Just checking. I don't want to be the only one "dwounding."
(there are a few more things on my list than there are in the picture. but it's a good idea.)
