Do you know what your thyroid does for your body? Neither did I...until two days ago when I was told over the phone, "You have papillary thyroid cancer."
*If you have any questions, google it - there is lots of info. And if you want to talk - let's e-mail instead. Then if I happen to be emotional (I mean come on, I'm 6 weeks postpartum - I still have those hormones to deal with.) you won't hear my voice crack.
But you know what - I'm counting my blessings that it is what it is - because it could be worse.

Your mom told me and you are already in our prayers. Call Uncle Alan if you want to talk about it. He no longer has a thyroid because of cancer too. I don't know if it is exactly the same thing though.
Also, I left a comment yesterday about the cute pictures you posted, but I must not have interpreted those crazy words right. Those are hard sometimes.

Wow, first gall bladder and now this? Because the trauma of having a baby isn't enough? Sheesh! You can't catch a break! So so sorry to hear your news! I feel pretty helpless reading that. What can I do to be useful? I wish I knew. I will pray, for sure, and I truly am available to talk (or email) any time of the day?
