After making a headboard for our bed and re-painting our room (off white walls with a chocolate brown accent wall), I decided my ugly brown burlap lamps needed a face-lift. So I covered them in fabric roses. Each lamp took over 120 roses, large and small. (That's 7 yards of fabric, by the way.) Now to convince The Man that the nightstand should be painted white....
**notice i don't have an alarm clock. every time i rolled over or woke up, i would look at the clock, just curious about what time it might be. so i took it away and i sleep much better now. fyi.

I am so glad you posted pictures! Ever since you told me you did that to your lamps I have wanted to see them. You amaze me!
Too cute!!! I love the makeover!! I totally agree that the nightstands should be white ;)
Awesome Mardi! Love it!
Cute lamps! Also, I've heard people sleep better if they can't see a clock. I'm the opposite, if I wake up and don't know what time it is, I can't get back to sleep until I find out.
very very nice. Good luck getting the man to let the paint come out on the stands. It is always a battle with Layne to paint wood and then almost every time when it is all over with he tells me that he is happy I got my way.
We aren't dumb! We know when and when not to paint over wood. LOL
Definitely needs white nightstands!! It would be so cute. I love the fabric roses. That must have taken forever!!
Love it! You are so crafty!
LOVE them! I wanna do that BAD!
